I stand on this side.

The side thats free.

The side that allows me to be me.

Doin what I please.

In world meant for me.

And only me..

Where I stand

Is outside the cage.

Nobody telling me who I should be.

Nobody telling me what I should see..

I stand where my heart leads…

Where my mind can wander.

Where my spirit can breathe.

Not needing no permission.

Not seeking no approval.

Not needing to explain…

This is where I stand.

On my side.

And if the world doesn’t understand that’s okay

I wasn’t made to be understood.

I was made to be me.
