Picture me,
Trailin' through the bushes...
Crouchin' low, light footed steps over these fallin' autumn leaves,
Searchin'... just searchin'
For nourishment, for fulfillment...
I've been trekkin' for miles,
Lookin' for somethin' meaningful,
Somethin' worthwhile...
And suddenly, after what seems like forever,
I caught wind of a strong scent,
Smellin' like roses and peppermint,
Divine,
Sublime,
And right on time...
Finally, a win,
After so long, of hiking alone,
Through The Valley of Pasts,
Where my ancestors and enemies clash...
No more war,
No more endless cycles of greed and corruption,
And that means somethin'
I've finally reached the promise land,
No man's land,
The land where only one road leads, and that road,
Is not traveled by many...
After so long, of my throat bein' dry,
I am able to rest and quinch my thirst,
In the sweet waters of this land,
No man's land,
The land where only one road leads,
And that road was traveled this time by me...
